On NewsNation, talking #Malaria #WeightLoss and #Psychadelics

– There have been 5 cases of malaria contracted from mosquitos in the US for the first time in 20 years. Should we panic? No. BUT, there are concerns that with #ClimateChange we may start to see more of these mosquito borne illnesses as the temperature stays warmer longer in certain areas, making for more hospitable climates for these mosquitoes.
– Weight loss drugs are all over the news right now. Remember, any medication should be taken with the guidance and supervision of a physician. These medications have been game changers for many, and we will likely see more versions of these agents. We don’t know the long term impacts or side effects, so the longer these drugs are around, the more we will learn. But for now, they have been helping many lead healthier lives.
– Psychedelic drugs in the news for the potential to have clinical benefits. Looking forward to seeing how these clinical trials play out, and if it may be possible to find certain agents that can be properly dosed to help with medical conditions like depression.
